Hermes Comes to Gurugram
Everyone's tried the AI assistant pitch and ended up with a chatbot that forgets everything the moment you close the tab. This session was about building the real version: something that actually runs in the background, checks inbox and calendar on a schedule, and sends a digest—with the rate limits and guardrails most tutorials skip.
I co-hosted this crazy event in Gurugram. Live build on the machines people walked in with—you leave with it running, not a recording to watch later.
What we built
A background agent, on a persistent harness—not a chat window that resets.
Inbox + calendar on a schedule, with a daily digest it sends you.
Rate limits and safety guardrails, so long-running agents don't get accounts flagged.
Format was in-person, laptop required. Builders and operators who wanted a real always-on assistant, not another chatbot tab.
