AI in Healthcare: From Idea to Impact
A lot of healthtech fails because tech people spend months building software without ever talking to a real doctor. To fix that, I hosted a session to get doctors, researchers, investors, and engineers in the same room to stress-test ideas before anyone wrote a single line of code.
The goal wasn't to build a finished app in a few hours, but to skip the polished pitch decks and see if these AI concepts could actually survive the reality of a messy hospital or clinic.
What went down:
Clinicians Group-Tested the Ideas: We had the tech builders pitch their concepts, and the doctors and nurses immediately broke down whether it would actually help them or just get in the way of treating patients.
Investor and Researcher Reality Check: Having healthcare investors and researchers in the room meant we could instantly vet ideas for funding potential, legal compliance, and medical safety.
Saving Time by Learning Fast: Instead of wasting time on hypothetical use cases, builders got to pivot and sharpen their ideas on the spot based on feedback from the people who live the problem every day.
It was a high-energy session that saved everyone months of wasted effort, helping builders walk away knowing exactly what is—and isn't—actually worth creating in healthcare.
